WHEEEEE!!!

Today I saw the Day of the Doctor (#SAVETHEDAY) prequel, Night of the Doctor and IT IS AMAZING!!! For anyone who hasn't seen it yet, watch it here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=-U3jrS…
At the start, there is a girl on a crashing spaceship (I thought she was Clara at first glance) who says something like
"STOP TALKING ABOUT DOCTORS!" 
to the ship's computer. Then, this was my favourite bit in the whole thing, you hear PAUL MCGANN,
PAUL MCGANN!!!!!  say
"I'm a doctor... but probably not the one you were expecting"
and I shrieked so loud, I swear Canada could hear me, and that's quite a way away from New Zealand (where I live).

 And then the Eighth Doctor was saying goodbye to all of his companions... his audioplay companions, who up til now had never been mentioned properly, and are now fully, unquestionably, awesomely canon... I screamed. It was so full of awesomeness.

Now I shall go, but just one more thing, if you hear me shrieking down here, IF YOU HEAR ME SCREAMING UP HERE, then you will know that something Doctor Who ish is going on.

The other day it was Guyfawkes Day where we celebrate someone trying to blow up Parliament that someone trying to blow up Parliament was caught.

Anyway, we were lighting fireworks in our backyard, like we always do (unless KaeFlo is having a gathering-type-blowing-up-stuff party). So, dad stuck the firework in the grass and lit it. It was one of those classic, BANG! BANG! BANG! PRETTY LIGHTS fireworks and my family and I were just standing back and watching. But after the first 3 went off, it fell over and started shooting at us! It was quite scary, and I got a bit of firework to the back of my head. Ouchy.

By the way, HAPPY BIRTHDAY FOR LIKE A WEEK AGO KaeFlo!!! :iconhappybirthdayplz:

School... meh

I have now reached that point in school known as Year 10 exams! They are in preparation for the next 3 years, but in my opinion, they are pointless!!! 3 social studies exams, 2 english exams, 2 French exams, 1 maths exam and then one of the year 11 maths externals. 3 hours, 3 maths tests to do. Yay! (Note the sarcasm)

I am also really excited for the Doctor Who 50th anniversary in less than a month (18/19 days)!!!!! It's playing in the movie theatre and I have a ticket for a really great seat in a huge theatre!!! (The tickets are $20, though. That means no popcorn :()

Also, I have tickets to go and see the Doctor Who Symphonic Spectacular in Wellington next year. I am three seats away from the aisle sitting in A reserve seats (that was hard to get my parents to agree to), so I hope that I get to see something coming down the isle like there have been at other Symphonic events!

I may not update for a while I know that I won't update for a while, but believe me, I'm not dead. If I do die, I shall get my lifeless remains to report to you that I am.

So don't worry, (that's my job) and that's the last I've got.

Ohemgee!!! I just found out that you can read the first chapter of Heroes of Olympus - House of Hades online!!! I am sooo excited for this book and I just can't wait until October 8th for the whole book to come out!!! What happens to Percy and Annabeth! I know they don't die or anything, but I really hate that cliffhanger!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

The New Doctor

Hello peoples! By the way, I am not dead, just very busy with homework, but I have decided to take a break from that to rant about the new, 12th doctor, Peter Capaldi.

First of all, he is 55! I mean, no offence or anything, but isn't the Doctor kinda supposed to be getting younger? Either way, I feel like a 55 year old Doctor is just strange. William Hartnell was 55 though, and Jon Pertwee was 51, so I guess it won't be that unusual, but both of those Doctors were more like fatherly figures than best friends, so that will be an interesting prospect.

Secondly, he has already been on both Doctor Who and Torchwood! Even though this isn't necessarily a bad thing, I would still like to point it out.
  • He made his first appearance in April 2008, in the Doctor Who episode The Fires of Pompeii, where he played Lucius Caecilius Iucundus, a marble trader with political ambitions, who bought the TARDIS and meant to display it as "modern art". The Doctor saved him and his family from the devastation of Pompeii,  and adopted the Tenth Doctor and Donna as their household gods. Isn't that ironic? The Doctor regenerating into someone who worshipped him as a god? Just saying!
  • He appeared in all five episodes of Torchwood: Children of Earth as John Frobisher, the Permanent Secretary  to the Home Office. On the last day, wanting to spare his daughters of their fate at the hands of the 456 and his wife the grief, John Frobisher decided to murder his family and commit suicide. Now isn't that a great example to show little kids who grow up watching Peter Capaldi? Just brilliant!

The third one is more general. I think it's time for a woman to be cast as the Doctor, or a (not being racist) non-white person perhaps. I know that it would kinda be awkward for Clara if the Doctor regenerated into a girl, but I'm just saying that it's about time to let a woman be the Doctor because I'm sure she'd be AWESOME! Also, when are we going to get a Ginger Doctor? That would be pretty cool!

Now, I should probably go do my homework, but just putting it out there, I have nothing against Peter Capaldi as a person. Just sayin...
